These Terms of Service ("Terms") are entered into between you and Mise, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Mise," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Mise Recipe Finder mobile application, website, and related services.

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Mise Recipe Finder mobile application and the website at themiseapp.com.

By downloading, accessing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Description of Service

Mise Recipe Finder is a recipe discovery and meal-planning service that allows you to:

• discover recipes
• save favorites
• build meal plans
• generate grocery lists
• cook from step-by-step instructions
• create and scan your own recipes

The service is for personal, non-commercial use only.

Accounts

Creating an Account

An account is required to use the launch version of the app. You may sign up using:

• email and password
• Sign in with Apple
• Google Sign-In

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• activity under your account
• maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• notifying us of unauthorized use

Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Subscriptions

Certain features require a paid subscription.

• subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis
• eligible new subscribers may receive an introductory free trial through Apple's subscription flow
• subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal
• billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple

You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your App Store account settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• share your account credentials
• attempt unauthorized access
• reverse engineer or interfere with the service
• scrape or collect data without permission
• use the service for unlawful or commercial purposes without authorization

Intellectual Property

The service, including app design, software, content, graphics, and branding, is owned by Mise or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

When you submit feedback, screenshots, or other materials, you grant Mise a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the service.

User Content

You are responsible for any content you upload or submit to the Service, including profile photos, ratings, feedback, comments, and custom recipes.

You agree not to upload content that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

You retain ownership of any content you submit.

By submitting content to the Service, you grant Mise a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and process such content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe may create legal liability for the Service.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

Recipes and cooking guidance are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee:

• nutritional accuracy
• allergen completeness
• suitability for specific dietary or medical needs
• exact cooking times or results

Use your own judgment when cooking and verify ingredients carefully if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

Certain features of the Service may rely on automated systems or artificial intelligence to analyze recipes, generate recommendations, scan recipe content, or provide nutritional information. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating any recipe, ingredient list, nutrition estimate, cooking instruction, or recommendation before relying upon it.

Service Availability

We strive to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at all times.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or remove any feature, functionality, or portion of the Service at any time without liability.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mise, its founders, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:

• your use of the Service;
• your content;
• your violation of these Terms; or
• your violation of any applicable law or the rights of another person.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mise will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.

Our total liability will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid to use the service in the prior 12 months
• $100

Third-Party Services

The service relies on third-party providers, including:

• Apple and Google for authentication
• Supabase for backend infrastructure
• Firebase for analytics and diagnostics
• RevenueCat for subscription management

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction where Mise operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at misesupport@themiseapp.com with sufficient information for us to investigate and respond to the claim.

We reserve the right to remove allegedly infringing content and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
