About Mise
Mise is an iPhone app designed to make recipe discovery, weekly meal planning, and grocery shopping feel simple instead of scattered. We built it for people who are tired of asking “what’s for dinner?” and tired of managing meals across screenshots, saved posts, recipe tabs, and separate grocery apps.
Why This Exists
Most people do not actually need more recipes. They need a better way to decide what to cook, remember what looked good, turn those ideas into a weekly plan, and then shop without rebuilding a list from scratch. That gap is what Mise is built to solve.
The name comes from “mise en place,” a French culinary phrase that means “everything in its place.” In a kitchen, it means preparing and organizing before you cook. In our product, it means getting your recipes, plan, and grocery list into one flow so dinner feels manageable again.
Who Mise Is For
Busy Home Cooks
People who want dinner ideas fast and do not want to spend another hour deciding what to make this week.
Families
Households that want one place to discover meals, plan the week, and keep grocery shopping from turning into a second job.
Curious Cooks
People who love finding new recipes but want their inspiration to turn into actual meals, not just saved links.
Our Point of View
We do not think meal planning should feel like homework. The best meal planning app should help you move from inspiration to action quickly. That means less clutter, fewer steps, and fewer moments where you have to rebuild the same plan every week.
Mise is intentionally focused on one job: helping people answer “what should I cook this week?” with more confidence and less friction.
